 Edith Higdon is the visionary, founder, and executive director of We Bake NYC, Inc.—a Queens, NY based nonprofit committed to delivering and donating baked goods to needy individuals and homeless families throughout New York City. We Bake NYC also offers weekly workshops teaching the fundamentals of baking to youth in low-income communities throughout New York City.

With a gift to empower, and a heart for service, Edith is on a mission to empower, teach, and serve. And, she’s tapping into one of her superpowers to do it, Baking!  But for Edith, her service means so much more.  It represents an opportunity to give back, teach a life skill, and invest some love in some of New York’s underserved communities.

A graduate of the Pastry Arts program at The Art Institute of New York City, Edith is a well-respected and sought-after Pastry Chef with over 15 years of professional experience
